First glance doesn’t show anything new and nothing interesting popped up this week after the release of Public Beta 4. That’s not unexpected, since we’re nearing the end of the beta cycle for iOS 11.2.5. As far as why this was released so quickly after Public Beta 4? Apple wants to clear the decks so that they can start shoving larger profile features (like parental control and battery health monitors) into the next beta, likely iOS 11.3.
While Public Beta 3 did give us a fun new way to access news podcasts with Siri, there’s nothing groundbreaking about the latest version of iOS 11.2.5. It’s a bug hunt, plain and simple.
Still, if you’re on the beta program, having less bugs is always a good thing. This will be the most stable version of iOS 11.2.5 yet and possibly the last release we see before the public release before the end of the month.
